Marvin Naff - Commercial Representative

As announcer and commercial representative Marvin Naff has been on the staff of station WDBJ since August 1934, having been previously been announcer and continuity writer, and finally studio manager, of Roanoke station WRBX.

During his school days in Roanoke, Mr. Naff says, he was fascinated by radio and after he had graduated from Jefferson High School in the class of 1926, and worked for a while as a men's furnishings salesman, he took an audition with a local station, later securing a position as announcer. Pencil and charcoal sketching, and photography, with golf and tennis, are his hobbies, Mr. Naff says.
